The Eco-Innovation Initiative
On the eve of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change in Copenhagen, the Lisbon Council convened the inaugural meeting of its latest policy network, The Eco-Innovators Network. Bringing visionary business leaders together with key financiers for sustainable growth, global multinational corporations and leading policy makers, The 2009 Eco-Innovation Summit was a unique opportunity to showcase innovative corporate success stories in the field of eco-innovation, gain personal insights into EU financing facilities for eco-innovation, discuss the framework conditions that progressive business would like to see for greater eco-innovation, and network with top eco-innovators from across Europe and the world.
